The Dibba Bay Oyster Festival is back!
We are back with the third edition of our annual oyster festival this February. This year it’s a 10-day festival running from February 16th to 25th where you can enjoy all things oyster, from special offers and pairings around town to visiting the oyster farm! The Dibba Bay oyster festival is an annual festival bringing the UAE community together to take part in celebrating the local oyster through education and entertainment. Oyster activations will be happening around the UAE with participating restaurants, our farm to table outlets in Dubai, and our oyster farm in Dibba. Every year the festival culminates in oyster shucking competitions where chefs battle it out for the title of UAE shucking champion and this year the annual ‘Dibba Bay Oyster Shuck Off’ will be held at Taste of Dubai! There will also be an amateur shucking competition where you can register to participate.
Here are four different ways you can engage in the Dibba Bay Oyster Festival:
Go Farm to Table
Get the true farm to table experience either at our original farm shop or licensed
venue in Dubai where they will be running their “Oyster Hour” specials throughout the 10-day festival; meaning you can get oysters for as low as AED 8 a shuck all day.

Visit on Open Farm Weekend
This year the Dibba Bay oyster farm will be open for public visits for a whole weekend on February 17th and 18th. Visitors will learn about the production process through a tour of the onshore facility followed by a boat trip to see the oysters hanging in the ocean. The experience will also include oyster tasting with non-alcoholic wine pairings. Entry is granted for ticket holders only.

Attend the ‘Dibba Bay Oyster Shuck Off’
The annual Dibba Bay Oyster Shuck Off is back—this time at Taste of Dubai! With Swiss watchmaker Breitling as the Official Timekeeper every second will count as chefs from across the country compete for the title of UAE Shucking Champion! Get a chance to meet World Shucking Champion and Guinness World Record holder,
Patrick McMurray, who will be hosting the competitions.
There will also be an Amateur Shucking competition where the public can register to participate—think you’ve got what it takes? Ask yourself how many oysters can you shuck in a minute!
Experience this feature and learn all about oyster shucking and tasting from industry experts with some great prizes to be won! You’ll also get to enjoy oysters like you’ve never had them before at Dibba Bay’s restaurant
pop-up. The event program will involve special masterclasses such as “How to Shuck 101” and Oyster Beverage Pairings.
